Our Founder & CRO, Adenike Ogunlesi with over 35 years experience in garment manufacturing and retail operations in Nigeria made a business decision to reinvest in the manufacturing arm of Gatimo Ltd, birthing GATIMO APPAREL.
With technical partnership from Sri-Lanka and support from the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), we upgraded our technical capacity by improving our technical skills to maximise and achieve the quality and standard of manufacturing that we seek.
Addressing the socio/cultural challenges that women face, 75% of our workforce is made up of women. When admitted, they mostly have no formal or technical skills, so we embark on a remodelling journey of both intensive training programme, leadership and entrepreneurial training to build capacity with three words guiding us – QUALITY, EFFICIENCY AND DEPENDABILITY.
We have created a customer-focused and technology-driven garment manufacturing facility that not only meets the needs of its sub-brand Ruff ‘n’ Tumble, but service other brands as well in contract manufacturing both locally and internationally.
The future for us is to be the garment manufacturing and fashion hub for Africa and beyond, collaborating with other stakeholders to make the industry move viable and attractive.
